Staying Positive

It can be hard to keep positive at this time of year. Today we went out in the rain for a walk and squished our way up to Peebles Hydro. The view across Peebles and the hills is quite wonderful from there even though today it was obscured by the cloud and rain. It was good to see the hotel busy with people, many of whom were emerging in waterproofs and boots to explore the soggy hillsides. I have to admit the warm coffee lounge looked more appealing to me!

We were soaked through by the time we got home so I felt justified to treat myself to a hot cross bun. I usually try to wait until nearer to Easter but well....I caved in! In the afternoon I prepared a chilli con carne for dinner which went down a treat with rice and some chilli jam!
