Female Chaffinch

This female chaffinch was nicely nestled in our fir tree so I was quite pleased to get a shot that showed her markings quite clearly. Even though I am stretching my equipment to the limit, shooting through double-glazing with a doubler on my 200mm lens at 400 ISO, I am amazed to get such a sharp image though I do run it through noise reduction software to get a smoother image. Obviously to get the bird this large in the image I have also cropped quite drastically.
