On the way to the Keys

On the first night we spent it in Miami wandering about the south beach taking in the amazing art deco architecture.

On the second day we started the long drive down to Key West stopping at Bahia Honda state park where there were great vistas of the sea and coastlines as well as this old bridge - the Bahia Honda rail bridge.

Later in Key West we experienced the best cocktail ever - the Key lime martini. We had only 2 drinks before heading into town for a wander and a dinner on the night of Steve's birthday but we were incredibly drunk.

Apparently we were in a Hard Rock Cafe. More to come on that story later. I don't think either of us realised just how strong those cocktails would be.

All in all it was a fine evening although the nice dinner we intended to have turned into a five guys burger. It was a good burger.
