The life & times of Jacks

Exploring Key West - in the day....

On the Tuesday of our trip we spent the day at Key West. This place is beautiful and the sun was shining - perfect day.

We went to the southernmost point of the USA (as southern as you can get as a civilian) where there were quite long lines for pictures of this point. Afterwards we headed to the other side of the island where we went to the Mel Fisher marine centre which was a pretty cool view on the salvage of a 1622 Spanish Galleon and it's amazing treasure. I did get some pretty decent pictures of some of the finds there.

We also went to the "Little White House" of Harry S Truman which was really cool and interesting to learn some more of the history of the US and one of it's presidents from before my lifetime. It was a nice experience.

After spending the day there we headed to Key Largo and saw the evening out with a nice meal and a cocktail (again?!?!) or two.
