Katie, pondering

This is Katie trying to write an online profile for herself for the upcoming Varsity matches between Warwick and Coventry. She is on the Warwick Netball Firsts, and was the Captain in her second year…so a long running player! She said it was more embarrassing in her second year when she ended up being the poster girl for Varsity 2012…but was still struggling to write anything about herself. It is always a strange position to be in when one has to write about oneself, it is treading the delicate thread between promoting yourself and sounding like a dickhead.

My room was once more the gathering room…Clare, Katie and I decided that we would watch another French film…but then when we all gathered we decided that we were too tired to translate, and French films were too high brow for our moods! So we ended up watching Tim Minchin instead. I guess you could say that he is still foreign? Kind of.

Rest of my day was normal, bar working another shift for Warwick Welcome Service…this time doing departmental training, for my own department. Was a bit of a shock to see all the girls (and guys) turn up for me to train them in how to take a campus tour! They were joined by the department of Economics, and one other department so there were more people than expected. This meant each of us had to take a training tour group of twenty people…when we normally will have about eight or nine. I ruined my voice shouting, but that is all part of the job! A really nice ending to a long day though…

In other news, I got a 2:1 in that essay that I gave in the other week. Yey!
