Here's a bit of sunshine for Blipmates in the wintry north.


Starling update. Two chicks have fledged! They were very quiet after they hatched, but they are not quiet now. The air is filled with their rasping cry. One is on the roof and the other is scurrying around on the ground. If I go to that side of the house the parents go crazy. The chicks are small and brownish grey and they don't have all their feathers yet.

Meanwhile, after five washes the big towel has finally made it back to the linen cupboard.
