Another New Baby

Meet Peaches. Gracie loves naming the calves. Hubby carried her off the hill this afternoon and sat her down by the feeder. She was just 2 hours old. On wobblely legs she stood up and crawled up into the hay. It was warm there. Sil covered her a bit with the hay as we waited for hubby and bil to bring mama and 3 others down so we could move them to the shed. After the 'girls' were rounded up and headed out to the shed Peaches had her first and most likely only ride in the back of the UTV to meet up with mom. (I missed that shot). Another calf was born earlier in the day, an all brown bull calf Gracie named Coco.


Edit: 2-15-14. Coco is not brown like we thought at first but more of a taupe color. Oh well. Coco is still a cute name. :-)
Warming up. 39 degrees F for a high today. Just a bit of drizzle. Snow is melting. (but not fast enough)
