It's six months today since my dearest mam passed away.

I miss her every day.

One of her wishes was to donate her organs if she had 'owt worth donating'. We learnt that 4 people may receive sight because of mams donation. This was one of the most uplifting feelings I had in the immediate days after mams passing. I still feel happy that perhaps a little seven year old may have sight because of my mams wish or maybe someone my age.

I also know of others who have recently saved lives through donating their organs. Its bitter sweet, moarning the one you love but knowing someone else is going to be ecstatic at the good news.

The question is, if you needed a transplant and one was available, would you turn it down?
