Golden glassful

My mother is very pleased with the wine they sell in the Fitzwilliam museum cafe. Its a Viognier, and it's very nice indeed.

Every week we share a small carafe. More would be greedy. Its got so as when I arrive at the counter to order, I notice they are pouring it out already.

We were going to look at Chinese china (or was it French impressionists or possibly Greek artefacts?). But today was cold and wet and windy, and she was tired, so in the end we just sat and had our meal and lingered over the wine and talked of this and that. And the other.

And enjoyed ourselves immensely.
