f-stops, Apertures and Shutter Speeds
I'm getting there. The order of the day was the technicalities rather than the subject and composition, so after a four-hour session, (of which 45mins was spent outdoors, in the rain) I came away with seven or eight different shots of the same scene - stood on a bridge, watching moving traffic in the rain... I couldn't bring myself to decide between the one with 1/30 at f 10 or the 1 second shot at f 36. She says, in jest. Instead, you get this, of a couple of fellow 'students' getting to grips with the tripod!
...as I left the class, I picked up a text message from the UK: "Can you call me when you get this please" Bracing myself for some bad news, I learnt that a colleague from my days at Heathrow had died suddenly. She was 52. She was one of my Blip-followers. Whilst I haven't seen her for nearly 3yrs, it's still a shocker and very very sad. To coin her parting line on emails and cards, God bless, GT.
