Girls day in the city . . . The cold temps did not deter us. We took the Long Island Railway - 1 hour - into Penn Station for a day in New York. The temp was about 18 degrees so we briskly walked the 14 blocks to the restaurant for lunch. Then we went to see the new musical "Bridges of Madison County" . It is still in previews and we all loved it and would highly recommend it. The underlying story of two "lost" souls who fall in love and have a passionate 4-day love affair leaves the viewers with many issues to discuss.

The voices of Kelli O'Hara and Steven Pasquale are magnificent . . . Don't forgot tissues - you'll need them at the curtain goes down.

As for a perfect blip for today. It just didn't happen. First of all - I choose not to carry my camera -- it was frigid -- streets were packed with usual crowds -- and we were in a rush to get the train home.
