Rainforest delights

We spent the day exploring our new surroundings. Cairns is situated in the middle of a rainforest. The climate feels very much that of a rainforest, extremely humid with high rain fall. The surroundings are really beautiful, very green and lush. There are all sorts of interesting sounds with kookaburras and lots of other different tropical animals. Cairns feels much more tropical than Melbourne and we feel much more as though we are on the other side of the world here!
