Clematis.

I was the Wednesday cycle run leader today and, as usual, I managed to organise some appalling weather; at least I didn't get lost this time. Leading the run makes blipping difficult, particularly when Wild Bill doesn't get his normal quota of punctures; today there was an added problem - the cold stopped the compact camera's battery working; it was particularly awkward as it was able to poke the lens out but then couldn't retract it. Next time it's that cold I’ll keep the camera in my pocket and let it get sweaty and horrible.

So, today we have an emergency blip.
This clematis seed head was collected in the rain a few weeks ago, taken home to dry and then kept for a rainy day. It's a garden specimen gone feral - variety unknown - it doesn't have a label.
