Happy V-Day!

This couple stepped into my doctor's waiting room and took a seat opposite me. He was full of attention for her, making sure she was settled comfortably and chatting quietly with her. I hesitated for a bit before I asked for their picture: I mean there's usually an assumption of privacy when at a doctor's office, but they cut such a cute figure that I went for it.

So meet Alvet and Ruth. They've been married for 13 years -- their 2nd go around for both and live in a retirement home nearby. He's 89 and she's 96, which prompted him to say: "you know, she's a cradle robber" as he broke into a healthy laugh and she kindly slapped him on the shoulder while she blushed. Love is grand, isn't it? :)
