Garden water feature?

Going out of Havelock towards Nelson, there is this little tidal stream between the highway and the houses. I have often seen the bow of this dinghy sticking up in the air. I think there was a old wooden dinghy floating there years ago, but not that sure.
I had to go over to Nelson for an appointment, while over there got photos taken for renewing my passport - shock - horror!! Do I really look like that??
"Don't smile, push your fringe aside as they need to be able to scan your eyes!" Result - yuk!! But, then again, what would I look like after getting off a long haul flight? Maybe, it is a bit more realistic what the photos looks likes, than I imagine I would look like.
Then drove back to Blenheim, to stay the night with my son & girlfriend, as it was Camera Club night.
Did ok, got a honour & a merit. These results are giving me more confidence in going with my 'gut feelings' about my photos.
