Shiny white flesh as far as the eye can see...
The thermometer in my car read 36.5 degrees this afternoon. The house is warming up, but remains marginally cooler than our greenhouse of a stairwell. If this is November, we're in for a long, hot summer.
The freezer is stocked with ice cubes, and I've busted out the industrial-sized cooler (managing to spill three litres of water on the floor while trying to fill it up, not realising the plug wasn't in. What a duh-brain.), which has taken the edge off the heat.
Day off before starting my western suburbs rotation tomorrow (just three months left on the rotating roster for ever. Woo!). Spent most of the day sorting through my Turkey photos (will update my travelblog soon) and enjoying my new book.
Brief outing to St Kilda Beach for a walk. Every second person in Melbourne had the same idea, it seems. From the look of all the skin on display, there'll be some sore, burnt bodies tomorrow. Clearly not learning....
Anyway, today's offering is of people outside Luna Park heading to the beach. Quite liked the light in it.
Edit: Twenty years today since the fall of the Berlin Wall.
