People's museum
Went to a people's museum today. The idea is that local people bring an item that means a lot to them, this is loaned to the gallery for the duration of the exhibition. The collection will be a constantly changing thing and will also serve as inspiration to artists who wish to work in the space. What an excellent idea. Already there was an eclectic mix of things with the stories behind the item for us to see. Today's blip is a cello case made from scrap wood and metal by a German prisoner of war in the 1940s. It is an amazing Picasso-esque thing.
So what would you take to the museum?
