Diversion

Our way was blocked by the floods so we had to detour and take an unplanned walk through some woods we weren't familiar with.
If we hadn't had to detour we wouldn't have seen these lovely snowdrops.

Sometimes we have to take a path we might not have chosen or planned for, but we should look for, and enjoy whatever joys we might find along the way.

Give me the grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
Courage to change the things
which should be changed,
and the Wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
Taking this world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Trusting that all things will be made right,
If I surrender to my fate,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy in whatever may happen in the next.
