From the dark corner.....

I've been jumpin' at shadows....

Even though I was feeling a bit tense (stiff neck!) and exhausted after a busy week, I stupidly stayed up late last night watching a program about pound shops. Anyone who knows me will find this very peculiar as I never go in them. The last time I went in the one in Solihull, I had a panic attack in the middle of one of the aisles. It was full of pensioners and people in tracksuits or anoraks. I was just wedged in with no route of escape. It was in the days when my work pal Nuzhat used to smoke and she used to like buying packs of 8 crap lighters for a pound. I have no idea how I got out of there alive. From then on, I just stood outside with her Sainsbury's shopping while she went in alone.

However, I was engrossed in this programme last night talking about the fierce competition between Poundland, Poundworld, The Pound Shop and now, The 99p Store!

What is the point of this waffling? When I was last in Ayr, mom went into Poundland and came out with a loaf of Warburtons brown bread for the seagulls. I'm not kidding you, the birds knew we'd been to Poundland and just weren't interested! Mom was adamant that the birds must have been full up from earlier. Nonsense! Anyway, I posted an Ayr sunset that day on here as I had no gull pictures. The next day was Friday and I insisted on spending a vast fortune (exaggeration) on a granary loaf from Marks and Spencers. The gulls descended and cleared up in less than two minutes and mom ran off screaming. That all goes to show that you can't beat good quality and also, seagulls are not stupid!

Anyway, here is a starling and a pigeon having a chat over breakfast before I left Brum this morning.
Looks good large!

Track? I'm in the mood for a bit of Peter Green today - Jumpin' At Shadows
