Where does the people end and the painting begin?

After breakfast at Stacey's (another old favourite) it was off to the Reijksmusem. A vast, impressive place where the old structure and the new blend together beautifully. It was busy but not uncomfortably so and I was amazed that it was okay to take photos as long as flash wasn't used.

We oohed and aahed at the treasures in there. Iincluding, of course, The Night Watch which was hung so that as you came into one of the galleries and looked straight down to the end, you could see it through several archways. It reminded me a bit of that place on one of the canals (Brouwersgracht, I think) where you can see seven bridges aligned one against the other.

This image isn't of the Night Watch, but another painting by Rembrandt.

After the Reijksmuseum it was off to FOAM - the photography museum - which had been given over completely to an exhibition of the work of William Klein.
