A cracking view!
I hobbled up to our coastal viewpoint this morning as the sun was beaming down from a blue sky not long after a heavy hailstorm! The walk made me realise that I'm still a long way from going back to work in the proper sense.
Out of shot to the left we could look south-westwards down the Sound of Jura towards Northern Ireland, invisible at 60+ miles away and today rather bright from the position of the sun. This view is to the north-west over the long, low Isle of Luing to the snow-covered mountains beyond, including Ben More (Beinn Mhòr in Gaelic), on the Isle of Mull, at 3,169ft the 7th highest mountain in the British Isles. A very beautiful spot on such a tranquil morning.
