Sunrise in Twyford

With the promise of frost and possible mist this morning, we got up at 7am and went out hoping for misty scenes over the flooded Thames. Guess what? NO mist, NO frost to speak of either (except on the windscreen of the car).

Not a bad sunrise, but no clouds to make it interesting. All in all, a disappointing early start to Sunday morning. Thankfully stopped enroute to capture the sunrise. At least the oak trees offered a bit of interest, and if you look closely, a magpie in flight. Really shouldn't complain, since probably back to rain tomorrow.

The biggest lesson I learned today was to check that my exposure compensation is correctly set.... this was at -0.3 and much too dark. Didn't notice until I got home Grrrrr.
