Getting the band back together

Tich had his 40th birthday in the Voodoo rooms. To celebrate he got his old band, Headless back together again after 20 years and they strutted their stuff with covers from the past - The Police, Jimi Hendrix and Bryan Adams among them.

From there I headed up to Summerhall where Barbara was celebrating her birthday at an Italian styled evening with The Badwills. Lots of dancy people wearing masques hopping to the big sound and the appalling acoustics. Above the band found footage cycled in a weird counterpoint. Some of it I had seen before in a feature length Channel 4 documentary on the Talking Heads from the mid 80s, creatively called The Name Of This Programme Is Talking Heads.

We finished off the evening at Chez Savage where I made us a gin martini nightcap. Yum.
