Scone: Part 7

Today was the seventh instalment in the notorious afternoon tea tour. This time Angela and I tried out Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow.

We had a deal from Itison, which got us a Rose afternoon tea for £34 instead of the usual £72. I tried not to get too excited at the plush surroundings, but was very impressed that they'd made us a personalised menu and a set out a pink rose each.

The afternoon tea wasn't perfect, they'd left a couple of pieces off, but they dealt with it amazingly well and plied me with champagne (always a winner) to compensate. Angela was on the mocktails, and they had done a lot to make sure they'd thought about her pregnancy needs!

And so, we have a new winner. Grand Central has scored a whopping 33/40 on our strict scoring system. That's 1.5 more than the previous winner. This is now the one to beat!
