Sanderlings & Surf

Over to Westport Beach this afternoon for a walk and making the most of the fine day. Had hoped to maybe catch a sunset, but the clouds started to roll in from the west heralding the arrival of the next depression (although not supposed to be as bad as the last 18!!)

Tried to sneak up on a flock of Sanderlings that were busy darting in and out of the surf as they sought food on the receding tide. However, they took off and I had to try panning to get a quick shot of them in flight. Quite liked the overall effect and pattern. Change from the seascape/sunset I was after!
