Mitchell Theatre by night
Monday!
Back to work on an even frostier morning than Sunday. Had to start the car, and go in for my toast to let it warm up. Don't get onto me about my carbon emissions!
Have you ever worked out how many Kg of CO2 are generated by all those winter joggers out pounding the streets. At least I'm doing my part by excercising as little as possible.
Was hoping for a bit of a quieter week to get round to some strategic plans (instead of being in constant "headless chicken panic mode"). Started out well with a monthly board report. But then, one of the PMs phoned in sick, sounds like they'll be off most of the week. AND! they were doing a bid to a customer for Monday. So guess what ended back on my desk?
Little sis was up for a flying visit...and txt'd suggesting dinner out at our favourite family restaurant. La Lanterna...a small downstairs Italian on Hope street that we have been going to since we were kids. Its easy to order, I have the same thing every time for the last 25 years! Ministrone, Lasagne (the best in the world) and honecomb icecream.
Little sis won the "I'm just going to the toilet, but secretly sneeking off to pay the bill" game. Fine by me! Although mum was miffed as she's the best and normally the winner at that game. They all expected a food blip.
However, I drove past the Mitchell and though I'd do another night blip as I didn't do it the last time.
L was off to his first real big concert on his own. Some beat combo called Muse. Seemingly very popular as they sold out immediately. Had to get a ticket off ebay for £80 (as a reward for standard grade results). He's just come in the door soaking with sweat. I think there was some pogoing going on.
Had a late potter playing with Webex as I've a presentation to Australia on Thurs. A bit far to go for a day trip. Webex is brill for remote presentations and video conferencing.
