Eventually it had to happen. It was still cold although there was no snow on Uist - the snow-capped mountains in the blip are all on Harris.
A field trip for my archaeology course today and this image was taken from one of the chambered cairns we visited. With a view like this, you can see why the Neolithic peoples decided this was the place to put a memorial to their dead.
Tricia went spinning in the afternoon and I pottered in the garden. Sprouts of green are starting to appear on some of our plants and so they haven't all died yet!
