River Severn floods

Today was a beautiful sunny day so I went for a walk near Newtown, Powys. I had to stop the car just outside Welshpool to see where the River Severn had flooded the surrounding fields. A few years ago the road was raised by about a metre to prevent flooding so the road was dry but the farmland was under water on both sides of the road.
There would have been an amazing view from The Breiddens in the distance.
