Koala spotting
We have been staying at our friend Eve's house out on lovely Aire River. Not far from where we worked on Cape Otway her place is a little oasis in the bush.
Rolling fields of summer tall grass march away from her window on the hill. The perfect place to drink a glass of wine and watch "cocktail hour" at dusk when the kangaroos and deer come out of the forests to graze.
In the morning the cries of yellow tailed black cockatoos wake you up and in the evening the bellow of koalas. A colony of koala lives nearby. We counted over two dozen spread throughout the trees this evening, including this cute youngster.
