Over the Horizon

Summer tall grass

An evening stroll through the summer tall grass at dusk. Right when the wild things come out. The shadows of kangaroos bounding away through the bush, the bellow of amorous koalas and quizzical chatter of cockatoos.

We have been housesitting for Eve and taking things slowly. It is the dog days of summer in the deep south of the world. When the days rhythms are dictated by the sun's ascent into noon. Dog days, warm and still.
