Parc de la Villette

This morning E and I browsed round a local gallery in Montmartre (Espace Gallery) before a morning coffee at La Halle Saint Pierre.

We spent the afternoon at Centquatre – an amazing cultural centre (housed in the former city funeral parlour) featuring exhibitions and space for artists to practice dance, circus skills, performance etc.

After lunch we walked along the Bassin de la Villette to the Parc de la Villette (a city park combining landscape and abstract architecture).

We rounded off the day with a trip to the Pathe Wepler cinema to see the Dallas Buyers Club – technically a foreign film I suppose – there were subtitles and everything.
