Bibliotheque Nationale de France
Words: Guest Editor E
D waited for E to wake from her deep, cheese-fuelled dreams yet again this morning. After coaxing E out of the flat they strolled like a pair of bumper cars down the Canal Saint-Martin, with D staying sturdy against E’s attempts to push her in. They stopped off for a quick cafe crème in Chez Prune which gave them just enough time to make twits out of themselves in front of the trendy French locals.
They then pottered on down to the Park de Bercy (filling up on crepes on the way, alfresco style) but they were very disappointed by the maze which was just a hedge.
Gasps were heard from both D and E as they crossed the Simone de Beauvoir footbridge both amazed by its lack of legs! Wow! This made up for the rubbish maze.
The Bibliotheque Nationale de France (containing over 10 million books) then towered over D and E as they strolled along the river to the Docks en Seine to see Pixar exhibition. They came out victorious after fighting a group of kids for a Sulley hug.
They sat down for a triumphant Belgian-style hot chocolate at Le Pain Quotidien before retiring back to the apartment and filling their bellies with a delicious meal care of Chef D.
Until next time with D and E!
