Poppppppppyyyyyyy!!

This is Poppy, escape artiste extraordinaire. Poppy's owner is Amy who is at vet school but worked with us for a year while waiting for a place. Poppy, a beautiful beagle and her daughter Lola who Amy bred are houdinis and run off to have long adventures sporadically. Amy doesn't usually hear about these adventures but her Mum will have been papering the area with posters all night. About a year ago Poppy was missing overnight and was brought in for a check up after Amy's family had been up all night looking for both dogs. She looked fine except for having discomfort when being picked up, on a hunch my boss x rayed her. There was a drill end situated in her lung cavity! Off she went to Liverpool Uni vet school and had a lung lobe removed! It has not deterred her one bit. Just as we were about to start operating today the doorbell went, it was a man with Poppy tied to a long piece of string. Lorna just said, we know this dog well and rang Amys mum who had been scouring the park all night. Her relief when she arrived was palpable.
