Life and Death, Culross
Today's Ramblers walk was around Culross and Valleyfield Woodland Park.
Early in the walk we visited the ruins of an old church - Culross West Church - and had time to wander around the centuries-old graveyard. One gravestone near the southern wall of the graveyard was surrounded by snowdrops and I was quite taken by the juxtaposition of the newly-blooming flowers amidst the ancient gravestones.
The site is on a popular path for walkers and, for me, this picture sums up the truth that, even in the midst of death, there is life.
