An Early Bird

After a really dull and dreary start the sun showed itself at lunchtime and as I was wandering round the garden looking for a blip I noticed this little chap nestled in a bud on the tree peony. I think it's probably a bit early for him to be out just yet but I suppose the mild weather has tempted him out for a look round. Last Autumn we put out a 'bug hotel' ( basically a collection of hollow tubes for bugs to overwinter in) and he was quite near to that, so I'm classing that as success for the bug hotel :-))
