Wet Sleddale Reservoir
Went for a look at Wet Sleddale today, but the weather was awful, so took this photo from the car.
Wet Sleddale Reservoir is an artificial Reservoir set amongst the Shap Fells 2.5mls south of Shap in Cumbria and lies just within the Lake District National Park.
The Dam was built to supply Manchester with water. The extracted water is carried to Haweswater, mainly through tunnels.
