Rainbow

I caught this wonderful rainbow as the dark clouds lifted off Dumgoyne Hill at the end of the Campsie Fells, North Glasgow. It did not persist for long and was a bonus as it has rained relentlessly almost all day. I chose the upright format and zoomed in to the hill, the dark cloud band and the woodland foreground which the rainbow intersects. A wider angle might have caught more of the arch but the dynamic of the intersection itself was interesting.

That was 30 minutes ago. Now the clouds have dispersed and the sun is out and it's quite a different kind of sky, with lots of scudding clouds that have at least dumped their moisture. However, looking at my weather App, there may be more to come before the day is out!
