We got talked into going for a drink after works with a couple of friends. We we to Seven Stars (I think?) and oh my god we are definitely not pub people.

Too loud, too many students and an awful DJ (he could mix fine but the music was shit). The rugby was on (about eight TVs?!) but couldn't hear it, couldn't hear each other talk and it was also too crowded. I prefer staying in, I don't care how boring I am!

Never mind. Next time we'll go somewhere people can talk properly (and it'll be arranged in advance so I can at least not be in my work uniform..) and stay a bit longer so we don't seem like party poopers!
