" SLEEPY OLD STOGUMBER "

This is a song that unless you are a fan of The Stoggymen, you wont know. But it's a beautiful song all about our village and the life therein.

Sorry about a late blip - out late last night enjoying a meal with a long standing friend and it was just too late to sit in front of the computer.

This, believe it or not, is the main road into our village and the house at the bottom, formerly an upholstery shop, is up for sale. The stone wall on the right houses the churchyard which leads down to the church, the pub and the shop. And that's about it apart from the school which we have already travelled past.

As you can see its on a hill and my house is the first house in the village so I dont get flooded. On that note, whilst we were on our way to Winchester last Friday through torrential rain, the little stream I have blipped many times, was suddenly taken over by a horrendous surge of brown muddy water. It produced chatostraphic flooding to all the nearby residents and has never been seen before. It was described by one resident as a tidal wave!!

So today is Saturday, the sun is shining and we are off to Sidmouth in 'The Beast'. Phoebe will play by the sea and it will be good to feel the warmth of the sun.
