Kilmarnock FC

Kilmarnock FC is the oldest club currently playing in the Scottish Premiership and is among the oldest in the country. I remember their great team of the sixties captained by Frank Beattie which won the championship by a single point on the final day of the season by beating Hearts . Frank Beattie was one of those players who, despite being a great club player, was never capped for Scotland . Beattie was a native of Stirling and spent much of his life in our local village, Cambusbarron
