A gaggle of garis

Passed this happy group of garis (street cleaners) on my way to gym – one of the girls was dancing as they made their way down the street. Didn’t quite catch that, but asked if I could get a shot of them. They were heading for the beach and will have found plenty of rubbish to rake up after heavy rain overnight. I suspect they’ve been taken on for the Carnaval period and the relatively well-paid work probably had much to do with their good humour. Their holiday mood was very infectious.
Barrioboy and digitaldaze came round for lunch and allowed us to pick their brains on a number of subjects - greatly appreciated.
