Camping Birthday Slumber Party

The Youngest turns 8 on Monday and when asked what she wanted to do to celebrate, the response was "Camping Sleepover Party". So the heart got its desire. She also had asked for a tent cake, however the humidity in Auckland has been pretty immense and my base layer of icing was just running off the cake, so I gave her the option of decorating it herself, and going to the shop to buy some bits to throw on the top. Lazy!

She was allowed to have 3 friends come along, and they've kept themselves busy going to the beach and playground, playing hit and roll and generally running around making lots of loud noise. Plans are afoot for a bit of Spotlight this evening after roasting marshmallows.
