Climate change

My intention was to blip another Lake District view today, but the wonderful early morning window scene of yesterday was completely obscured by driving rain today. So the first part of the long homeward trip south was on soaking roads viewed through swishing wipers. I blame overnight climate change!

Reflecting on how exceptionally wet this winter has been, my eye was caught by this little etching that I'm rather fond of, recalling a Frost Fair on the Thames in the 17th century. Just imagine what these dark months of 2013-14 would have been like with similar levels of precipitation but combined with those sub-zero temperatures!
