No Kea

Short journey from the motel in Arthur's Pass back to the Viaduct in the hope of seeing a few Kea – cold but not raining – no Kea. Back To Arthur's Pass to watch the TranzApine railway train call into the station on its way from Christchurch to Greymouth (foto) - no Kea in the car park either. Perhaps the Kea is the equivalent of our Scottish Lochness Monster – only appears for the locals. We then set off for Christchurch and visited the Air Force Museum before booking into our Motel. Having a few days in Christchurch before setting off for Kaikoura.
