Cpl Heslop

This photograph dates from about 1948 and shows members of the ATS including Cpl Heslop, my mother. She worked as a riveter in the shipyards during WWII before joining up aged 17. She met my father whilst on a posting in Holland in 1953, helping with the floods. Today was her funeral, sad, but also a celebration of a life fully lived.
