Out to cut the lawn or,

Cut the grass at a startling pace
Mow both of the lawns at once then
Explode into space.

Yeah, I know that was dreadful, apologies to any steppenwolf fans. The new lawnmower has finally arrived though. It probably shouldn't be as exciting as it is, but I can finally cut the grass properly. When we moved in the christmas before last the lawn was in a dreadful state. We bought an electric mower then, by the end of the year, it was starting to resemble a nice lawn again.

I had high hopes this year but on the first cut after the winter the mower went pop and refused to work again. We diecided that , instead of another cheap electric mower which would probably do the same when it's warranty expired, we'd get a good petrol one. Roz's catalogue had an offer on them so we ordered it way back in April. It was supposed to arrive at the start of May but we kept getting messages saying it had been delayed. The grass got to about a foot and a half high before we got a strimmer and cut it back a bit. As a result the weeds all started re-appearing and the grass went to seed. I now have another rescue job on my hands but at least we have a mower that will last now.

Now I'll just have to head up and get some petrol.
