Dentists - ugh.....

The ongoing saga of dental treatment over here continues. Having been landed a $500 bill for services rendered last time (which I was told would be covered by my insurance, but insurers decided they weren't going to pay and ultimately ended up with the dentist writing it off) I thought it would be just a simple cleaning.

All was going well, my gums were still in good shape and cleaning was fine. However when they reviewed the x-rays at the end they said that I had cavities on the lower right side. Now, I had never ever had cavities in my life. Never had a filling. Infact in less than a year, with my oral hygiene at its best ever, and no real change to diet (just the usual sugary American one) I now have to have fillings. Can't quite believe it. Perhaps they are trying to recoup some of the money they wrote off from my last treatment. They are contacting my insurers and working how much it's going to cost - going to be $$$

Uneventful day at work. Found out my area manager tore her ACL skiing on holiday last week and needs surgery.

Even managed to fit a gym session in. Drowned my sorrows with cheap pastries I bought yesterday.....
