Canal Walk

Geordi was busy much of the Saturday afternoon so I started walking west from Slaithwaite, down the Huddersfield Narrow Canal. The weather was surprisingly lovely, and I met some of the nicest dogs, enjoying their walkies. After a week of pretty intense stress it was really therapeutic, walking without purpose, just being outside.

On the flip side when I'd reached about this spot, I had a call from my Dad with bad news. A friend of mine from my teenage years, who had briefly been a teacher of mine, had reportedly died suddenly. I was saddened, but kept on walking, even more determined to get as much enjoyment from being as possible.
