Fire

"I baptise you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit and fire." Matthew 3:11

I worked a late shift today, and so had to find a picture in a bit of a rush, so here is a fire point at work!!

I have kept the Bible verse simple as well, these are words of John the baptist, who began baptising people including Jesus, and spoke of Jesus' coming and the Holy Spirit. This is fulfilled in Acts, where the fire of the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples who were gathered together. Maybe I will share that verse if I take another fire related picture. We are called to be baptised in water and baptised in the Holy Spirit. Baptism of water, is a symbolic way of saying that you leave your old life behind and commit to a new life with Jesus at the centre. It is something that I believe in.
