Instituto do Vinho da Madeira

This lovely building houses a museum with displays on wine production. The house originally was that of the Napoleonic-era British Consul, Henry Veitch.

It's just above the Law Courts on the main road out of the city.

I just loved the typical Madeiran yellow against our lovely blue sky.

The meal last night at Goya, the new restaurant, was stunning. We will be back.

Today we took the bus up to Monte, had a delicious mint tea in the Quinta, tut-tutted at the families taking very young children on the lethal toboggans.

And just enjoyed the day.

Ps. Pastel de Nata is a most delicious custard tart. Try one sometime :-)
